Mature cheese with an unmistakable flavour, obtained by processing semi-skimmed raw milk from farms in the Livigno valley, located more than 1,800 metres above sea level.

The Granlivigno is matured in cells at higher temperatures than for other cheeses. This process makes the dough hard and compact, the taste strong and the colour pale yellow colour as a result of special oiled crust maturing. Excellent after a meal, it enhances hints of the mountains in the most typical traditional Alpine dishes.
